Eye twitch

Here's the pigeon's eye-twitch from my narrative. Inspired by a sketch I did of Vincent Price. This was awesome fun.

Vincent Price had the most insane facial expressions... He raaawks! By the way, he never actually had an eye twitch in real life (as far as I know...)

Special thanks to Frank for planting the idea in my head to use Price as a facial reference!

Vincent Pigeon!

I just got a new scanner... so I thought I'd show some of "The Struggle". I wonder what other famous faces would look cool as a pigeon...?

Second Last Scene

This might need some explaining - it's the part when the baby is flying towards the pigeon.

I'm a bit sceptical about my spacing ability, so please critique :)

Walk Cycle in Colour!

I'm about to do the layout for this walk but can't think of what to have the characters walking past in the park. Maybe a rabid dog humping a tree stump?

Silhouettes

Here's one of my attempts at bringing some of my EAPS together with little semi-eap-things.

Silhouettes look kind of cool when animated.

Progress Reel and First T-shirt Design

My progress reel... updated today.

As for the t-shirt design, "Team Jorey" have two themes: Religion and Rock! This one's rock.

More Pencil Eaps

This is where our protagonist gets his ape powers.

Critique these eaps if it so pleases you, dear viewer. Your help will be greatly appreciated :)

Apologies for the lack of editing. No Premiere at home.

New Progress Eel

Here's my reel of progress. I'm nearly up to the "Ape Baby" run. There are a couple extra eaps that aren't in this reel.

Can't wait to get the copic colouring done! :)

Baby roars like a T-rex and stomps on ants

Critiques are most welcome... unless you have an aversion to commenting on posts, like most seem to have :)

I stuffed up the accent on this one; the roar is the first lunge forward, so it should be paused for at least 4 frames. I think it can be fixed.

I'm starting to get the hang of doing shapes without detail. Frank showed me the light! He stood on the parapet of Babylon and read the ten commandments of animation principles that were engraved on them.

Hmm... I just had a cool idea for an SBIT t-shirt design...

Pigeon and baby keyframes

Pigeon not yet animated. I'm not even sure if I will use this... If anyone has any ideas of how the two characters could meet, please let me know. This is just filler to lead up to the chase sequence.

Better blink and other Cosmic McVentures

Here's my pigeon...again. Thanks for the tip, Frank! I think I'm going insane just from drawing this stupid pigeon every... single... day..

I see pigeons whenever I close my eyes... PIGEONS!

Can't wait till I get to animate the other character in my narrative.

One-eye-at-a-time Blink

I'm kinda pleased with how I got the squishy eyelid to look. There's an issue with the arm, but I think it can be fixed later on.

Vanilla Blink

I used the Richard Williams technique...

Here's my first EAP. I think I finally got the butt-bounce right.

My second EAP. If anyone wants to critique, please do.

Better Linetest

Untitled from Gorey on Vimeo.

Now I just need to add ink and colour...

Special thanks to Cassie ffor the critique!

Linetest with in-betweens

I whipped this up today. If anyone out there has the time, please let me know how I can improve it. I need some feedback before I ink and colour it.

Also, I'm trying to get a jolty look to his head, which is why he turns so quickly... hopefully it worked.
