Pigeon meets baby...

Baby spits dummy.

Critiquing is welcome :)

  1. Hey Corey. Great work ethic again!

On the pigeon meets baby - consider the baby's focus. I think, despite it going against the character design, you shoul try to focus the baby's eyes on the pigeon and maybe shape the baby's eyes to hint to the viewer a possible evil intent. The blink with eye direction change works fine.

On the dummy pull there is a finger flick that does not read well. Maybe opt for a simpler animation plan and keep the fingers in an anticipation pose then grab the dummy? The timing seems to work but the arcs need more screen space for the hnad to move through. It may mean working in 16:9 widescreen.

    Keep at it!

  2. Go Corey Go! Go Corey Go! *waves pom-poms*

HI Corey. This kind of works out well, as before Frank walked in I was actually considering *gasp* writing someting in the comment box. True Stroy.

I'm going to use Franks 'simple' critique forula as it's monday and monday equals zombi like concentration abilitaits.

Oh, look, a bird *runs away*.

Where was I? Right, first part of the critique. Love love love the appeal of your designs and the way you utalise movement in a quirky and unique way. But you proabaly already knew that.

As for the other: when BABY is sucking on its(not too sure of gender) pacifyer..well, all I can really distinguash is a slight shuderinging, and I can't work out if the charac ters is actually sucking on the object or if it's just a shudder as a result of the line test. I would maybe go back, have a squiz and give it a little tweak. (FRANK MADE ME DO IT)

    Love your work.

  3. What I like?

This small piece of animation is fantastic, I have a lot of respect for people who do 2D traditional animation because it is just amazing. I love how you kept the proportions of everything when doing this and the squash and stretch of the mouth is just amazing. I reckon that you are very good at doing squash and stretch in his animation and love doing it as well.

    What could be improved?

Well there isnt much I dislike about the animation but there is one suggestion which I think might look nice. When the baby pulls the dummy maybe have him take longer to pull off the dummy and stretch it further, then have a lill pop effect when the dummy finally comes out of his mouth. So it kinda looks like a small struggle coming out.

Hot stuff man... timing on the blink seems really good.

    What could be improved:

Well like most people are saying, I think the clip of the baby pulling out the dummy could be improved. I think the timing needs improvement and maybe the arc of the hand.
